My Candy C44000(3204250 513 4273) floods. The inlet water continues to run after the water has reached the appropriate level then floods out of the door. When I turn the control wheel round by hand it stops filling (presumably when the electric switch cuts the supply) and pumps out. I have fitted a new inlet water control valve but it has not made any difference at all. What can I try now please?

Power off, lean the machine back to a good angle and look for a black cover plate held on with three screws. Remove cover plate and remove all the goo revealed, especially inside the chamber.

    Should do the trick….

Thanks a lot for that help, job done 30 minutes max. Perhaps it should be a regular maintenance job with a little easier access and a warning in the instructions. The consequences if I had not noticed the flood straight away and the machine was on the first floor, could have been dire. Thanks again.

The current Candy dishwashers have done away with the access cover altogether……. :rolls:

Thanks Penguin, I have also had the same problem and have taken the bottom plate of to find it full of gunge. Unfortunately I did not pay attention to which way the plate came off. It will go back three ways, only one of which is correct I am assuming, hope you can help, regards, 7615sp.
