Using a test meter, you need to check on/off switch function, then continuity from the plug, through the switch to the pcb. If you have continuity, the pcb itself will almost certainly have died. Worth checking the pcb for dry/burnt solder joints.

    Stay safe, power off.

Thanks for the advice i will check and re-post am i right in thinking the PCB is situated behind the program switches white plastic block?

The on-off switch has various wires, looking at them 2 black same terminal, blue purple, brown white, 2 red together could you advise which colour to check for continuity the purple and white wire are thicker and go to one connection block on the white plastic block (PCB)

Here goes checking from the plug for continuity all connections in place

Thick brown showing continuity to switch (feed supply)

Thick purple showing continuity when on-off switch is switched on

2 small red wires together showing continuity when switched on

Purple goes into a two port connection block with a white wire showing continuity on purple and connects into PCB

On removing the the 6 port connection block containing 6 wires one being the thin red from the on-off switch (at the PCB end), I lose continuity on 2 small reds at the on-off switch
    Does this shed any light?

Dishwasher update I have removed the PCB part number Siemens 5wk57705 and carefully opened, on looking inside it looks burnt out on part of the board. I have been trying to source a new part but still looking, other Bosch/Siemens parts all look expensive around the ยฃ120 mark I am willing to replace this if I can find one.
Could I ask you experts for some advice please whatโ€™s the possibility something else could have caused the PCB to blow in the first place, and replacing it whatโ€™s the likelihood it will blow again? ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™
