ParticipantBeen to a Hotpoint WF556 with the welded drum.
I fitted three new lifters, customer tells me that it has had seven since new,18 months old. 😳
User has not been washing trainers or leaving coins etc, so pretty obvious that he is using the machine correctly 😕
What he did point out was that the lifters only come off if he is using a prog. with the 1600 spin, dosent happen at slower speeds.
Has anyone come across this?September 15, 2009 at 5:24 pm #297141chezza

The only thing I took out was a bra wire the size of Wembley 😀 It hadn’t been in there long. The paddles started to break off from when the machine was new and under gtee. , customer phoned Indeshyte and they just sent out new lifters but no engineer to fit them, so there is a chance that the customer did not fit them well, although the tabs were in A1 condition.

If the plastic lugs are all broken off then definitely something between the drums. Normally a bra wire is enough to do it. (and they come in two’s you know! 😆 )
