I have a Fisher and Paykel Smartdrive 703 washing machine that is filling very slowly on both Hot and Cold water. This only happened after I had to take out the main control board to get to the out of balance microswitch which was broken and needs to be replaced. All electrical conections look OK. Does the vacuum tube control the fill rate. Is there a way of resetting the control unit/washer or is there something that I have missed doing when I put the main board back in.

    Nothing youve done there
Common fault with the inlet Valves The internal diaphrams in the valve dont open fully to allow a better flow rate
The Valves are complete Assy with coil
    Part # 426143 Cold Part # 426142 Hot

I am trying to avoid replacing both valves if I can. Both valves worked fine (fully opened, full water flow) before the I took out the main board to get to the OOB microswitch. It just seems to me that that there is something coincidental about taking the board out and putting it in again and then the valves not opening fully! Still trying to get through the 92 page service manual to find if there is a Mainboard reset function back to factory defaults or other reason for the valves not opening.

No resets on these for valves (only for water temp)
Have you checked the inlet hose filters? (NOT BLOCKED )

Both inlet screens are clean. Water is literally only dribbling through both valves. Is it worthwhile putting a meter on the valve terminal/connectors to see if its getting the full voltage. Do you know if there are any fuses in the mainboard (that may have blown)?

The only way you are going to get out of it is by replacing water valves
