Chris.
As Chris says, You’ll love it…..in a purely “character – building” sense……….:snig:
Complete strip and rebuild……not a hard job but very labour – intensive. Top off, condenser out, front off, (careful not to break the PCB behind the fascia), back panel off, heater off, unscrew rear bearing support, lift drum and unhook belt from jockey pulleys, lift drum out……..about 10 – 15 minutes with a power screwdriver. Lots of different screws used; make a note of what goes where and how many.
Reassembly is the reverse of the above; fitting the belt on the pulleys is like any other machine; apart from Candy / Hoover driers where you have to do it through a letterbox space with one hand.
Practice will speed the job up, but not a job I relish and you really do EARN every penny of your fee.
HTH,
Steve.
