Hi lads , been to a Technik microwave where some of the casing screws seem to be 2.5mm allen headed screws that have a raised ‘pip’ in the centre. I’ve been reliably informed that they’re classed as tamper proof but does anyone know where i might find the correct bit to remove these screws ?
Cheers lads…once i found out what they were called i found a draper set on screwfix for a fiver. I know they’re not going to be top quality but i’ll probably only use them the once….and i can claim the money back anyway.
Stupid bloody things……….its the only appliance that i’ve ever seen them on.
Since Allen keys fit torx would torx (with hole) not fit Allen sockets?
As for Zanussi washers, had a bearing job on an AEG the other day and everything’s going fine till I find the 6mm Allen socket countersunk pulley bolt 👿 . Hadn’t gone prepared for that. Punched it loose in the end though.
Mike.
