    Hi,

I’m having a small issue with an Indesit W855G not filling.

Hoses checked, water flowing ok and good pressure.
Inlet valves swapped out brand new
Will spin and pump out when filled manually through the drawer.

What would be preventing the inlet valves from opening?
I see (multimeter) continuity to the pressure switch from the inlet valves.

    Do pressure switches give up?
Is there a simple test to verify it’s operation?

Pressure Switch:(from diagram on front of switch)
terminal 21 normally closed to terminal 22 – continuity
    term21 normally open to term23 & 24 – continuity

term 11 normally closed to term12 – continuity
    term11 normally open term13 & 14 – continuity

I would expect there to be a break in the normally open switch, but maybe i’m wrong. Is this indicative of a faulty pressure switch?

Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m not quite sure what you are saying about the pressure switch. When you say “continuity” do you mean a short circuit as measured on a multimeter? The usual way to test pressure switch operation is using a piece of tube attached and blowing down it to hear the clicks. If you also connect your meter to the terminals you can check the making and breaking of contacts. This is not entirely foolproof though as burnt contacts may appear as a short when passing the tiny current of the multimeter but this may break down under load. I take it you have checked for blockage in the pressure vessel?
Obviously you need the machine unplugged from the mains for the above resistance checks

    Yeah I mean short circuit.

Where is the pressure vessel located? Attached to what?

    Thanks

follow hose down from pressure switch will lead to a chamber thats the pressure vessel.

    power off
