ParticipantI went to a call yesterday and knocked on door a few times then bell etc etc, after no reply went to the van wrote a note out saying time of call etc put it through the letter box and wham a b$$**£{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}d dog bit my finger!!!!.I nearly s55t myself pulled my finger out and it was pouring with blood and now have a nice puncture wound in my finger on both sides and a tear where i pulled my finger back sharpish.
The annoying thing is the dog never made a sound when i was knocking it must have been waiting to pounce. has this happened to anyone else before? i will be much more careful where i put my finger in future 😉 .
cheers chris

Some years ago I was attacked by a cat through the cat-flap whilst writing out the “Where were you?” note.

Go back with a 3 inch blade and shove it through the letter box.

The very same thing happened to me several years ago, now i never put my digits too far into an absent lady’s box 😉
Not too sure what the legal angle is on this sort of thing though, not very responsible of the owner leaving such a beast on the loose 😯January 20, 2010 at 8:32 pm #309460aqualectric

ParticipantI walked up to a customers front door and as the ccustomer opened up , this Jack Russell came bounding out , yapping and snapping .
I said ” Does your dog bite ? ”
She said “No “
As i walked into the hallway , the bloody dog bit me on the calf , through my work trousers.
I turned to the customer angrily and said ” I thought you said your dog doesn’t bite “
She said…..” Thats not my dog !! ” 😆 😆 😆

Been bitten by customers dogs on the bottom, back of the head by a scary alsatian, rescued just in time, also on the legs twice and the hand once.
Surprisingly I like dogs,it’s just their useless owners.
fancy myself as a dog whisperer but still nee more practice 🙂January 20, 2010 at 10:24 pm #309463Madmac

The one that bit me on the botty was an old dog(bit like myself) it was in it’s bed when I went in,never barked or moved.
I wanted something from the van, walked to the door and suddenly felt pain in the rear, turned round and the dog was almost back in it’s bed,the woman was gazing out the window totally unaware.
I’m rubbing the affected part saying”your dog has just bit me”she did beleive me so didn’t have to drop the trousers to give her proof 😯January 21, 2010 at 9:36 pm #309465squadman

Normally Pet Insurance covers such an event if a claim was made other than that its down to the owner to maintain proper control over the animal. Having a dog myself and being a dog lover I have myself encountered dangerous dogs, dogs are just like people most of them are fine but every now and then you get a nasty one !

Went to a customer and a Jack Russell jumped up and bit me at the top of the leg, if it had been two inches higher it would have been really nasty.
The customer wasn’t bothered, just said it’s never bitten anyone before!
I trust the bigger dogs more than the little ones.
