can anyone supply me with the part no for the cooling fan cut in stat (its one of the long white ceramic ones) connect sent me a exploded diagram but it doesnt show it 🙁 .

do you mean the type that is screwed by a bracket on to a ceramic resistor? If thats the case the resistor and stat come seperatly. If thats the case I can look it up for you, its a tricky one!

its a rectangular white ceramic block about 2″ long (ish) with 2 spade tags on it, im assuming its classed as a cut in for the cooling fan, the cooling fan on this model is (looking from the back) at the top left and the block is just next to it on the right.
i wish id took a picture now.
the original problem with this model is that the cooling fan has been staying on (for days if left) but as usual it was ok when i went, so i guess the stat was not opening as it cooled down..hope this helps in my quest 😉

I think what you are looking at is the resistor to slow the fan down (to reduce noise!) that is not the fan cut in. Its just wired in series with the fan. The cut ions on smeg are either how I described above or normal round shape ones or a square plastic block with 4 leads emerging-no tags.
