Participanttbh John , it sounds like its leaking into the base and operating the flood protection system .
Wasv there any traces of water once you took the metal baseplate off ? First thing i’d check is the securing nut on the salt pot where it meets the tub. Take off the salt pot lid and see if the securing nut is loose . I have had a couple where this is loose and water is leaking into the base by the salt pot lid.

Is this one with an inline water meter (jug impellor)…i seem to recall having one where this went O/C and the machine aborted and ran the drain pump early on presumably because the pcb didn’t receive any impulses from it?

Ahhh this is the one with the little float magnet at about the 6 o’clock position of the sump moulding.
Locate it, pop off its cover, remove and clean it, check for condensation in the clear half of the float (indicates it’s leaking)
Note which way up the float fits when taking it out…IIRC the clear half is uppermost but it’s been a while since i’ve done one 😉
