ParticipantMy dishwasher has stopped draining, I have cleared the filter, taken it out and cleaned underneath it, I have also taken the side off and checked the pipes are not blocked, how can I get to the pump to see if that is blocked or could it be another problem? Any advice would be gratefully recieved.

Bail out as much water as you can. There is an access panel in the left hand side of the floor of the sump. Remove the screw and lift the panel away to get to the pump impellor.

ParticipantWhat happens when you reset it ? Does the pump run or just buzz ? If it runs but doesn’t drain , its a blockage somewhere. If it just buzzes and doesn’t spin then the chances are the drainpump is faulty.
Have you checked the drain hose connection spigot….especially if its connected directly to your sink outlet ?

It sounds like it’s running, the water is covering the impellor and when I run it, the water is being sucked down but not being pumped out, could something have got passed the impellor and blocked the pump?
I’ve checked the pipes and they are all clear.
Thanks

ParticipantIf you’ve taken the access cover off the pump , don’t forget it needs to go back on for it to drain properly !

This has been very useful to me too! Just fixed mine in the same way!

Does anybody know the specifications of the screw that was removed in the earlier step – I removed mine to clean out debris, and I misplaced it?
