    Model AWM5125/5..12nc 857051215592.

Set it to prog 4 60° wash. Fills, tumbles perfectly but timer advances at least two impulses in no time at all. Stays around prog 6 for about 5 or 6 minutes then advances to just before the ‘Daily Wash’ symbol. Drains out then stops dead.

Switch it off then back on with the On/Off button and you can hear a faint noise from the timer and it fills for a second then cuts out again. Repeat this process of switching off/on for 7 or 8 times and then it continues to fill normally and completes the rest of the cycle. 😕

Does this sound like a control unit fault?

Possibly Jim but most of these machines throw a wobbly through electronic self-checking if for example the air bell is clogged, the heater open circuit and stuff like that. From what you have told use I would go for the heater or possible wiring loom breaks in that area for starters.HTH? 🙂

Thanks Martin, had already checked out the heater, apart from this fault it was also leaking from door seal so made sure heater was OK in every way.

Not that old and wiring looks to be in good nick but it will do no harm to go back and check it out.

    Jim.
