PCB should be in the top right rear corner in a white plastic box. Damage is usually pretty obvious, most notably the connector block at the rear.

Hi Folks. First post on here, so please be gentle! 😉
My 7 year old Servis M6216AL had its first breakdown last night, suffering from similair symptoms to paul161201, except the lights remained dead after changing the fuse. 😥
After opening her up, I’ve traced the fault to the PCB’s connector block exactly as described by Penguin45. It’s a bit blackened and it actually looks like two of the spades have fused together inside the connector block.
I’ve seen a new module advertised online for £39.90, but was wondering if anybody knows if it’s worthwhile getting out the soldering iron out to try and repair the terminals or if it would just be a waste of time? (ie if the circuit board could be fried internally)
Any help gratefully appreciated,
Andy.

Check the tracks on the back of the board if they are burnt try to bridge
over the broken trackFebruary 16, 2010 at 8:12 pm #312028paul161201

I found the PCB board and 3 of the terminals are badly burnt the plastic cover on the terminals was also melted. I have taken
I taken some pictures
The tracks around the terminals has burnt away do anyone have a picture of the track layout so i can repair the track?
The serial number on the board is 546056000
If not do anyone now the price of a new board and the terminal block

*Sigh* Two problems running in one thread – I wish you guys wouldn’t do that….
Right. The two terminals at the edge of the board are a pair, so should be joined together, the third one is not. Scraping off all the carbon is a good starting point. If you think that a solder repair can be made, use bridging wire to reinforce any joint. The multiway plug is not a spare part, so you’re looking at replacing the individual terminals with AMP tags. Don’t use those horrible red and blue plastic sleeved things as they won’t last.
The only guaranteed repair is to replace the board. The “546—–” number is the actual part number. Repaired/refurbished boards are available at a sensible price with a mild amount of Googling.
It’s unusual for the pcb to damage other components when they do let go.
Bear in mind that these are budget appliances and there is no factory support (It was pretty laughable anyway) available, as Servis is now bust. All these machines are on borrowed time.
