    Hi All,
    Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of (preferable by mail or the web) a thermostat (at least I think that’s what it is) for the Bosch WTA-2000 Tumble Dryer. This is the small ‘stat that’s mounted on the same round back-plate as the element. It looks a bit like a power transistor with only two black wires.

    Just a thought on this, the Bosch WTA2000GB/?? range of dryers are all made by Crosslee, apart from the cosmetics all the parts are available at less than 1/2 the price from there. This particular thermostat is even available as a patttern spare as it fits a huge range of Crosslee made dryers, White Knight, Whirlpool as well as Bosch to name the most popular.

    Did you manage to find the stat? I have a siemens wt21000 with exactly the same problem. I have also been quoted this part no.It wold be good if I can find a pattern one to do the same job,best quote yet is 21.50 +vat +p&p=31.14!!Then Would be greatful if you could post the info to me.

    cheapest Bosch item I could find was £57.89.

    but following your advice I found the same part number on Amazon at a fraction of that

    lets hope it is the same item!

    these units are built by white knight for Bosch. check element while you have it apart. its a common failure for one element to fail first which only gives you half heat
