ParticipantHi started last week. Checked 2 plastic hosed on the back, unhooked and blown down them. Clear.
Not water collected at all, some leaks out of front bottom now.
HELP! 🙂

Power off. Remove pump assembly. Rod out inlet channel at the left of the sump. Sorted – assuming that the pump runs?

The pump is working I can hear it. I cleaned the pump and the foat and compartment. No water appears to be arriving into the compartment/slump or whatever it is to raise the polystyrene float though so I don’t think there is any water arriving to go up to the collection tray. I can’t actually work out how the water would leave the drum into the compartment for the pump to pump up as I can’t see an inlet or anything. Could there be a block between the drum and collector before the pump? Any ideas? Thanks again 🙂 Dan

having said that, sorry i just took the house down, couldn’t feel any air pumping through, but took the water collector out the top of the machine, put it on the floor with the hose horizontal and water appears to be pumping through slowly…
not sure yet if the pump now fails to pump it up the hose to the top of it is just taking longer to get the water out of the clothes and to the pump!

Is water actually getting into the pumping chamber? You could add water manually to the chamber, drop the pump back in and see if it lifts. If it does, the pump is fine and you need to clear the inlet channel as outlined in my first reply. If it doesn’t, the pump is knackered and you’ll need a replacement pump.
There are early and late versions, so serial number will be required.

Well the pump works! But the inlet must be tiny – bottom left back as facing tray – i bent a small metal skewer and couldn’t get it in at all – can you buy special cleaning rods? Don’t think you can access from the drum either…?

A “tyrap” or cable tie is the ideal weapon.

Participantbut there is no better cure than removing the condenser and REMOVING the ball of fluff thats covering the hole
pushing it away only lasts untill the water washes the fluff back
if you close your eyes and feel behind the condenser, u can feel the shaped moulding of the base, and pull out whats there
