ParticipantHi there
I’m new here so please be gentle; I’m also a computer man not an appliance man so feel free to make answers as patronising as necessary 😀 .
Basically I have a ZJD-1219, the dryer stopped working a couple of weeks ago with E20. I read these forums which suggested replacing the inlet valve, which worked!
A few weeks of working ok and the dryer now stops intermittently mid cycle, I get no error code. If it’s got 1hr 45mins remaining for example it immediately drops the timer down to 1min then stops.
Could the condensor need cleaning or something? if so, where is it and is it hard to do?
Ta

Hi.
E20 is a drain issue, not a fill issue as replacing an inlet vale would usually require. Are you sure it wasn’t E10 perhaps?
Has the drain filter been checked?

The E20 would happen consistently until I replaced the 3 way valve, once it was replaced the E20 did not reoccur.
The drain filter is clear and I have already replaced the drain pump a few months ago, prior to this the machine wouldn’t drain. It now completes the wash cycle with no drain issues.
Would I be wrong to suspect the condensor being blocked? If I do need to clean it, where is it and is it a difficult job?

I suspect the condenser is not the issue here as when it blocks it will also usually display E20.
Do you have a test meter that is able to test the isulation of the product? I suspect this may reveal a fault for you.

I have a multimeter, what should I test? Do you mean isolation or insulation? If so, howd I go about that.

Bad spelling. Sorry.
I meant INSULATION. A standard multimeter cannot usually test for this but you would need to check your multimeter’s literature to confirm this.

Assuming that I cannot test the insulation, are there any onther things I can do to diagnose this? Are there other things that it could possibly be?
(In other words can we skip this insulation test step and assume it’s ok)

You could try disconnecting the dry heater & seeing if it still stops.
That aside, I would strongly advise you get the insulation tested as this often shows up faults. If you cannot do this, it’s engineer time.
