Have you checked the spring in the door handle -if this is broken it will stop the door locking

So it has to be the pcb then. EMW will provide a replacement at reasonable cost.

I tried to send you the diagnostics but the e-mail in your profile is dead and it has bounced.
Do you have a copy of the diagnostics routine?
You have to unplug the machine and wait a ten or fifteen seconds before putting it into diagnostics. You have to hold certain buttons before you switch the mains on to get into diagnostic mode.
If you can update your profile with a ‘live’ e-mail address I can send you the info.
As for ‘digital rubbish’ the electronics on the WMA60 series are as good as any on the market, generally very reliable.

Try the interlock again.. I just had the same fault on the machine and could not figure it out, so I tried the interlock again and it worked… Faulty interlock straight out of the bag.

Yup, I second that. Mind you it was a poor pattern one from Masterpart, the lock that needs bigger retainer screws.

If it`s a board problem – Easy enough to sort if the damage is visible .
There is a 3mm x 2mm chip on the bottom left hand side easily distinguished by three prongs out the top and a single square plate attatchment at the bottom all soldered . check the chip for blown surface damage and of course track damage . Repair track damage and change the chip with one off a scrap board …….
usually sorts things out .March 21, 2010 at 11:57 pm #314071leavemetogetonwithit

I also learned the hard way about Masterpart red plastic pattern locks.
