One shot stat on the drier had gone so I replaced both stats.I checked that there was no blockage, fan motor working ok and condenser solenoid was working ok.Called back a week later – one shot blown again-I replaced them again and sat with the m/c on a drying cycle to check if the heaters switched off ok which they did, however on the last bit the m/c went into spin for about 2 mins before a final tumble and stop -is this a normal feature.

There is a spin during the drying cycle on later WD models.

If the machine has an FHP motor, check the wiring harness where it is lashed tightly to the front of the motor. The motor bracket does chafes through the harness at this spot and will often blow the dryer TOC. If it is chafed then repair the wiring and bend the motor bracket back with pliers.

At the same time check where the harness is secured to the cabinet near the motor.

    Jim.
