ParticipantI have come across a Bosch dishwasher sgs55c02gb/01 and customer said it during wash the check water light came on but when I tested all seemed ok so as a precaution I replaced the impellor jug but customer just called saying it’s doing the same as before.
So has anybody any ideas as to the possible cause of the fault?
Have visually checked hose leading to sump and all seems clear so water didn’t seem restricted entering the sumpthanks in advance graham

How is the water pressure into the appliance an is there any water in the base below the wash tank?

This is the mystery because it has good pressure into appliance and is dry as a bone in the base
could the inlet valve be the cause? What ya reckon,or possibly a module fault ?

When you changed impeller jug, did you note; orientation and flow direction when you fitted new one. That is very important as it will jam and misbehave otherwise. Failing that probably module, only ever had one that module was culprit though 😕

Also, check good connection on edge connector and continuity back to module.

ParticipantRemember that the check water light may come on if there is a drain problem

I am assuming by orientation you mean how the impellor jug is positioned ie flat/tilted because I definately got the flow direction right. So my next question is does any kind soul have a picture they can supply or info as to how the impellor jug should sit? I paid no attention to this when replacing as I didn’t realise it’s importance 😕

The impellor jug can fit either way round as there is no direction. And it can sit/lay in any position within the machine. Usually it lies at an angle of around 45° as a rule dependent entirely on where the attaching hoses are positioned.
Inlet valves are a caution and I would suggest you replace it in the hope of curing this fault.
HTH? 😀

went back today to check impellor jug and all seemed ok with it but on further examination i noticed that the overflow bit of the float chamber was bobbing up and down a bit and operating the microswitch to activate pump then half dropping down again so visually the switch looked un touched until i put pressure on top of the red float bit and heard switch click off.
So hopefully a new float chamber and hey ho all is good in the world again. 😀

As per BSH tech..
“When installing the flowmeter, ensure that the direction of flow is correct. The flow sensor may have a maximum incline of 30 degrees to the left only”

sorry to be simple but does that mean to look at from the metering tank side that the impeelor jug should be installed so the flow sensor is located to the left and the jug tilted towards the sensor or away..this is all a bit confusing so if someboday could supply a picture of how the jug should sit i would be greatly thankful.

Inlet will be the spout same side as the orange socket.

ParticipantI guess i was lucky about angle and flow on the ones i replaced lol, seen this happen to a few and each time i replaced the meter all was well again. Seen one go faulty on a 1 year old machine, must be a weakness in them..
