    Hi,
    have noisy bearings on this. It has a metal pulley so….
    Is this the non Rubena type bearing kit and is it likely that the shaft will be damaged and need a new spider?

    If it is a screwed drum then it has the 35mm bearings, the kit to replace it is the rubena one, it may have the earlier type or have the rubena seal in it already depending on age.

    There is no easy way to tell if a new spider is needed unless the drum is really flopping around. I only replace one spider in five bearing changes, really have to ‘suck it and see’.

    Little play but lots of noise, 5 yrs and 3 months. By screwed drum I think you mean WMA type? If so, yes it is.
    Bearing kit to order.

    Had a bad day, brakes failed on the van luckily going up a hill 8)

    I always take a drum spider with me on any bearing or drum rear half job, just in case it is needed. They are not that expensive to carry as a spare.
