    Re: argos

The annoying thing about this cheap tat is people use it as ‘ammunition’ to try to beat you down on price on a higher value repair ‘But i can get a NEW one in Argos for a little more than that’ ..blah..blah :rolls:
They probably wouldnt actually buy it of course but they’ll point it out to you anyway.

Does harm to our cause though no doubt, why not buy two of these for £300 & chuck ’em when they break instead of spending £300 0n a better known name ❓
They’re likely to break very quickly of course but is that so different to the average sealed drum Zanussi or Hotpoint badged tat these days ❓ ❓

Asda been advertising the new Chinese built Electrolux for £248.99 only been out a month or so and dropped £60.

They also doin sub £180 machines.

I went to B&Q the other day and bought a strimmer for the garden at £8.99, works a treat.

Something is goin to give at some point, companies can’t keep dropping prices so low, save the planet and employ staff at this rate.

Its a made made world. 😥

Nope, Amica spares are available from both ourselves and some are held in stock by Masterpart as well. They’re even usually pretty sensibly priced as well.

Presently most are special orders but that will change in the not so distant future.

Comet are doing the same machine for a similar price.. dropped from a little over £300.. still leaving them plenty margin on these Chinese sourced machines i’m sure though :rolls:
Anyone know how repairable these things are ❓ bolted or sealed drums etc ❓ Cost concious punters will no doubt be snapping them up in these tight times, £250 for a once respected name will draw them in.

The chav’s needing to stretch the states’ money so they can still get plastered at the weekend will maybe be more tempted by the Tecnolec Comet are offering for £149… nice :rolls:

If you look at the label inside the door there is a clue…

    It says “Made in China”
