Hi guys, had a call out to one of these last week – tested stats all ok – tested heater all ok – vacuumed rubbish away from element – tested fine.

Seems to have intermittent heating failure as has worked for a week but customer rang to say blowing cold again.

Any ideas – others posts suggest reverse timer ??

The reverse timer in the base can cause a no heat fault but doesn’t tend to be intermittant.

Did you check the stat in the top of the door surround?

Thanks for the reply – no I did not – is it self-resetting ? because this is the type of error we have – blows cold, leave for a while, blows hot !!!

Its worth checking it, it can cause this fault, often shows signs of overheating on the terminals.

It is a normal cycling stat, not a one shot.
