Re: Burned Out Suppressor on Hotpoint Aquarius WF240
Thanks for the reply.
All the connections look secure. One of the spade connectors was burnt out but both have been replaced. The main supply to the suppressor also looks secure.
Before it burned out last time we noticed a burning smell. British Gas engineer checked it and couldn’t find problem. We used it again a couple of times before it went bang. Engineer then called out again and found that suppressor had burned out again.
What seems bit of coincidence is than a previous engineer (Hotpoint I think) had bypassed the suppressor rather than replacing it which makes nme think there is some other problem going in.
Anything else I could check?
Thanks
