ParticipantI bought this fridge off ebay last week and for the past couple of days the fridge temp light keeps flashing. Ive set it at 2 degrees but its still flashing and the fridge doesnt seem very cool. My milk went off this morning when the temp was set at 4 . The bottom half of the fridge seems ok but the top half seems warmer. I shelled out 440 for this fridge and cant afford for it to break on me as we havent alot of money so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update on problems well today the fridge fan has been making lots of noise when its closed and when i open the fridge door the fan kind of judders to a halt. The freezer temp isn’t in the plusses anymore its dropped to -3 and the fridge temp has dropped a couple of degrees to 14. Could this have been caused by me not keeping the fridge upright when transporting it to my house?? I did leave it 24 hours before plugging it in so i cant see why it should’ve. Can anyone help me sort this out i emailed bryan with no reply as of yet.

Participantswitch it off let it defrost overnight or maybe 2nights
leave fridge door open, it has iced up behind the back panel
could be a number of things
evap heater -gutter heater- sensor or just a cut out
the noise you here is ice hitting the fan

ParticipantI took off the evap cover and it was all iced up behind it so im leaving it to defrost and ill see what happens when i put it back on hopefully it will be fixed should i carry out the checks with the multi-meter on the defrost heaters? My evap cover looks alot like the one pictured in this tutorial here with the same clips ect has this been fixed before or do they come like that. http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ge&pid=209
Also i have a multi meter but im not that savvy on using them i tried but didnt get any readings like the ones i should’ve. The guy i got it from has agreed to get me a new evap cover will the solve the problem??
