I have one of these with no motor action, brushes are fine, suspecting maybe a faulty module but it’s a special order @ washvac so maybe I’m wrong. First time I’ve seen one of these machiines, anyone have any other ideas ?

Looking at the blow up diagram there’s little else it can be apart from the timer.

I believe QER the pcb repair guys will do a check on modules for a nominal fee, they’re in the web-links section.

They may be able to repair it if faulty at a far better price as well 😉

    Albert,

Dunno mate, haven’t a clue. As long as you are sure the motor is OK ❓ and you have continuity thru the Field/Armature/Motor Plug connections etc.

I always try not to get bogged down with the worst senario when I come across a machine I have never seen before. But look for the ‘logical’ 😉 Like for example, I would think there is possibly a ‘Safety Device’ that ensures the motor does not ‘go’ if the lid is not locked/shut??? Look out for such…that may be your problem 😉

Module it may be but unless the Motor is suspect I would tend to ignore until I have checked all the other options.

    Best of luck!

I went back to this one the following day just to double check for safety devices or anything that I may have missed and to double check the motor and everything seemed ok. I’ve just replaced the module and now have a fully working machine and a smiley, happy customer.

    Thanks guys
