Indesit IDL40 Dishwasher – Problem is the 1st LED light started to flash at the end of the cycle. Next time I tried to use it, it wouldn’t fill with water or even start the programme. The 1st green light is still flashing. Can anyone offer advice.

Flooded base, could be an internal leak or oversoaping. Using combination tablets in these machines is a common cause of oversoaping.
You should also avoid opening the door in the middle of a cycle.
Drag the machine out and after placing a few towels on the floor and removing the mains plug, tilt the machine to one side.
If water does run out that confirms the base is flooded. Allow it to dry out for 24 hours and then try it again.
If it fails in a short space of time then you have an internal leak that needs investigating.

Hi Many thanks for replying promptly…. It was drained once but after tilting on side again it is full of water… Where would I start first to look for the leak???? Husband has looked at pump and that is fine

If it is filling up that quickly it should be obvious. The main circulation pump can leak, also the lower spray arm assembly can ‘unscrew’ in the base of the machine.
That one is easy and just needs slotting back in and tightening up. There is also a small flow meter that sits just under the drum, I have seen those pop right out of the hose above the circulation pump.
It could be overfilling leading to a leak into the base as well, several possibilities TBH.
BTW, does the full model number have a large letter C at the end?
