Salt chamber is empty but the salt low light doesn’t come on. I guess bulb may be blown or PCB fault, but is there as sensor that can maybe be cleaned/replaced? If so where is it? How does the salt sensor work?
Is the salt sensor switched on?
I recall that you can disable the addition of salt with a power on and
reset button B or A? being pressed at the same time.
Again I think they are fairly crude sensor devices and work based on density
If you check the bosch support site for diagrams of your model it mentions
a magnet component just beside the softener unit…maybe this has stuck?
The light remains off even with no salt. Anyone know how to switch the feature ON again (button combinations)? That would seem a very simple place to start, in case it’s been switched off 🙂
It could be any state at the moment as I just moved in, and cleared the drain pump of of bits of china (I think). All works well, and seems pretty clean. Would be nice to get it all working though…
It most certainly is included in the document link CJAPeterborough gave you in fact. Go back to the document download page for your exact model (EnrNo) and open the 2nd .pdf file. And Salt Adjustment is the first option on the list. 😀
