Hello….yet again!I have a problem with a Hotpoint WD 420P washer dryer.Serial no 53220129.Problems are as follows and only concerns the use of the dryer, apparently the wash/spin part is ok.Problem 1-if set on 30 mins worth of drying it switches off atfer 55 mins-is this normal?problem 2-sometimes,though i never got it to do it, they get 2 lights flashing and these are rinse hold and time saver which are the 3rd and 4th lights of the bank of 5 optional lights=ntc fault apparently ,which is somewhat odd.Prior to this the machine had a new wash element and so i double checked the 2 wires plug which is ok(must be otherwise m/ch would go wrong on the wash cycle and it doesn`t).The dyer element heats up ,the dryer ntc stat is ok,the fan works, the dryer valve works, and the stupid o/load stat is ok.Anybody got any ideas please, thanks.

i’ve had machines of various hotpoint models particularly wf giving ntc faults and some doing weird things. in each case a brand new ntc has not cured the problem. however i’ve referred them to hotpoint who’ve fitted new modules to fix it.
    hope this helps
