Called out to this one last night, the customer had complained that the machine doesn’t drain and spin sometimes, and that earlier in the week it took seven and a half hours to complete a wash cycle 😕
I ran a spin program which started and picked up into a spin no problem.
I checked water pump for blockages etc nothing there, checked carbons on the motor they were approx 2/3 worn but still plenty of length on them.
I ran the machine on a rinse and spin, the machine filled turned once then didn’t do anything else, I gave it a couple of minutes but then cancelled the program and selected spin. This time the machine began pumping but stopped after about 30 seconds, with no drum action at all.
I had assumed that the board must be faulty because of the random nature of faults, but on reflection I am wondering about the brushes.
I have in the past had a fault on a Beko where the machine starts and cuts out after about 20 seconds due to the carbons being worn out.
Any thoughts?
