As a newbie to dw repairs can I get some confirmation that this needs a new main pump, m/c fills but water is not circulating & the askoll pump sounds like it’s chattering but that’s all.
Also where can I get a price for this pump, I’m sure it’s made by Whirpool but It’s badged as program 2000 ?Re: Whirlpool built APDW/2 Circ Pump ?
sounds like the pump is shot, the new one may be a conversion to a more normal capacitor start type. If it is a Whirlpool it will have a service number on the rating plate starts with 85……..

suck out all the water. lay it on its back and remove the base plate.
it’s really obvious what to do when you see it. i personally use a suitable good quality cable tie for the hoses. never had one leak or fail.
finally keep the impellor housing from the old pump. i promise you will be able to use it in future.Re: Whirlpool built APDW/2 Circ Pump ?
