CREDA Simplicity T622CW condenser dryer, approximately 6 years old
It’s stopped heating again.
Seems to be going through thermosats a rate of knots.
Any ideas on what could be causing the stats to fail so quickly.
Thanks in anticipationGeorge

I would check the motor capacitor.

If the capcitor is faulty the motor will struggle to start or fail to turn at all.
Capacitors of all shapes and sizes HERE, its located close by the motor.
Have you checked the condenser is completely clean?

Thanks for the reply – I’ve had the drum full tonight with dry towels to check the motor – can here it going around and note direction – when reversed seems to do so easily and the direction of rotation has chaged, so could it still be a capacitor problem?
The condenser was washed out a whille ago using a power washer on low pressure – so shuld still be okay.
Air flow through the machine seems to be okay
Confusedm all seems okay but stats fail

The condensor should be cleaned regularly, you should be able to see clearly through it at all times. A pressure hose on high pressure would be better. 😉
Sometimes the timer can cause premature stat failure if it fails to allow the 10 minute cool down. Thats why the machine should always be allowed to complete the cycle fully and not stopped before the end.
If the drum appears to be turning perfectly with a full load then the capacitor may well be OK although it can break down with use.
