think you will find most folks are out working between 2 and 5.
scoop out the foam, clear the undertay, and give it a few rinses, scoo[ping out every now and then.

I find if you put milk in the machine it kills the foam. No idea why but it works.
Alternatively if it is detergent the add a couple of scrapes from a bar of soap. Test by running a bar of soap over the foam and it should collapse.
If they used soap the add a couple of drops of detergent.

thanks guys for your reply went to look at dishwasher the woman said it is not heating and keep running. wont stop their still seems to be some foam in it cant get it on rince program. for it to pump out .

checked heater and 3 stats in the door the are all open and closes when heated the heater is ok. it just keep washing no heat and wont move in cycle their is a timer in the bottom at the front.do you have to move the timer by hand to get it to heat and rince. and when you hang the wooden door and get the screws in at the top it comes out the bracket

retainer at the bottom the inner panal seem ok all screws in place fasetester

You can turn the timer using a torx screwdriver. You must make sure the timer is at the 12 oclock position when you have finished your checks.

The overfoaming has more than likely caused the overheat stat at the back of the machine to trip.

MAKE SURE THE MACHINE IS UNPLUGGED and reach through above the heater box towards the back and just slightly to the left, thats it nearly there. You can then reset the stat by pushing down on it.

Keep your phone in your other hand to call the fire brigade in case your arm gets stuck. 🙂

thanks tim should i have to turn the timer to get it to move say heat and empy out you take a flap off under the door and the heater is on the left. you say their should be a over heat stat.

towards the back should i turn the timer to a rince and pump out and make sure all the foam is washed out before resetting stat. and why will the kitchen door not go on it should slot in to the opening at top and bottom. then the woman is saying can i help i am afraid of her getting sliced on raw edge.

the stand over you and watch every move i just seen watch dog that boy is some cowboy he does not even take the machine out to check it out.

then takes the money for a new machine does not deliver machine keeps the money then removes interlock i saw he was in a laundry what did he do their.missed that bit.

    .

Milk has a high fat content. Washing up liquid disolves fat / grease and is used up doing so.

It raises the surface tension of the water solution, any fatty liquid would have the same effect. Soap lowers the surface tension, hence the bubbles.
Dishwasher powder does not change the surface tension of the solution, in fact it is a non detergent cleaner.

Science lesson over, back to work chaps 😉
