I’ve had a few problems with this dishwasher in the past and have always managed, with the help of this forum, to get it up and running. `this time however I am stumped. The washer will not start its cycle. I have tried resetting as per previous posts.

The red indicator program select light is lit and I can select alternate programs but I notice that the light is no longer flashing – usually indicates that the program has finished. Again if I close the door nothing happens.

I’ll strip it out tomorrow and start rooting around, in the meantime has anyone else come across similar symptoms?

Update: reminded myself of some of the more common problems associated with dishwashers from somewhere else on the site. So far I’ve tested the motor, heater element, and anything else I could find (the machine is disconnected from main), also checked continuity on every part of the harness checking for breaks below the door, all switches ok. I’ve got the pcb out had had a good look – can’t see any dry joints or obvious signs of overheating.

Has anyone come across a fault like this? Its looking more like the pcb which is around £145 – its odd that the program indicator lights are still on but not flashing.

Any advice as to where to go next would be appreciated.

Ok everything tested and back together – `i’m convinced now that it must be the pcb. well the m/c has served us well, guess its time to wave goodbye and source a new one. Question is what do we go for? 😕
