    Hello all

I am reposting this in the hope that someone can help. This w/m Hotpoint BWD129 fails to complete a cycle. Out of the last 6 washes it has completed 2 and failed on 4. Stops with water in and lights 1 & 3 flash.
Looking at Indesit codes this indecates F10 a pressure switch fault. Is this correct ❓

Are these switches prone to failure ❓

The hoses / pump are not blocked although the pump could have an intermitent fault I suppose.

The machine is 3 yrs old with one young lady owner.

Its built in on the 3rd floor of a block of flats. The young lady tennant is only in at times when i’ve normally finnished work so its a pain. If it had been on the ground floor I would have taken it back to workshop and loaned her a machine while fixing this one.

    Help if you can thanks.

Jim’s the real Hotpoint expert on here 😉 but I had one of these with F10 the other week. Tried a pressure switch first ( they can fail I’m told ) didn’t reset though turned out to be board.

    Hope this helps
    Allan.

50/50 could be press sw or module i’ve been lucky most of the time with a press sw.

    😳

Actually johhnyj or helo_75 are far more ‘up to speed’ than I am on current Merloni machines. 8)

    Re: Hotpoint Expert

Turned out to be a small button stuck in the end of washer outlet hose where it discharges into sink waste.

Strange that, thought F05 would be the code for that one but I suppose if it’s not completly blocked the outlet……
