    Hi Chaps

I have this dishwasher and all its doing is draining i checked the over flow and all seems ok.

Is there a test program for this model or a reset sequence as i’ve never even seen one of these before

    Thanks in advance

Woz, double check the model number, it doesn’t exist. I even tried just ADP89** (wildcard) still nothing.

Nearest I can find to this is the ADP8942 which is a french version.
From the description of the fault it sounds as though there’s water in the base activating the floater switch. Switch the power off, tilt the machine backward slightly and see if any water drains out of the base. If it does then one of three things can be the cause, a blockage forcing water into the base, a leak or too much foam (is your rinse aid setting correct? has rinse aid been spilled prior to the fault?)
If I’m right you should also be getting an F2 error code.
    Hope this helps.

    Thanks DP

There’s definately no water in the base i’ve already checked the float switch and all seems ok.

Also there is no error codes it justs looks as though the DW is going to start but all it does is start the drain pump lasts about 5 minutes the stops and just sits there like a lemon. If you stop the programme it just goes back to draining.

Technical at whirlpool are supposed to be getting back to me as they don’t recognise it either.

Ok, this isn’t conclusive but from what I’m reading my guess has to be either the fill hose has been crushed and has collapsed cutting the water supply, the inlet valve isn’t opening or the module itself is faulty.
With the first two you should eventually get an error code. With a faulty module you don’t normally get an error code as it cannot check itself.
Hope this is of some help to you.
