Sorry know flashing lights have been mentioned before but answers didn’t help
When dryer is switched on and start button pushed the machine bleeps and all the horizontal lights flash(except the empty water light)

No vertical lights flash and the machine doesn’t start

    Can anyone help

    Thank you

That is supposed to be F16 which is listed as not used, active.

After removing the plug and checking all of the wiring connections and if possible electrically testing all components you are left with the woeful Indesit electronics as the most likely source of your problems.

    Thanks for the reply

    Two further questions :-

1). How do I get a copy of the fault code list ?

2). should the thermostats check out as normally open circuit or normally closed ?

    Cheers Nick

Hi Nick: The full fault codes are only listed in the Engineer manuals & for obvious reasons we are not allowed to give these out.
The 2 stats are normally closed & there are also 2 NTC Thermistor sensors fitted to the machine, have had a few problems with these due to faulty wiring & also as Iadom said the electonics on them are pants.
To check the wirng: power off & use a Dmm on the lowest ohms range and test each wire end to end for continuity.

Please remember POWER OFF before opening, getting :zap: can seriously spoil an otherwise perfect day.
