Helo_75 Could you let me know if there was more in the memo as I am still having problems with this one?
I fitted the returned board checked the pins in the plug to the fascia and main pcb tested them for continuity all ok, put it on a spin to test worked for 3/4 mins cancelled program was going to put it on a wash when the front facia display started to flash then went blank machine dead. Sent both facia and main modules to EMW for testing, Tony could not find anything wrong.
Going back next week any help please.

Being as Tony has tested both boards for you and that they worked OK initially until you cancelled the spin cycle. It does point toward there being a connection problem between the 2 boards.
It might be best to fit a new harness link between the two?(PartNo C00113957) 💡

What about a dodgy interference filter at the mains inlet?

Have just returned from looking at a WT960. Report was blew fuse, fuse replaced, completed wash. Subsequently blew trip, restored power, completed wash. Then blew trip again mid-wash, now totally dead.
Got there, meggered it, found heater down. Disconnected heater. Restored power. Display came up and would programme fine but as soon as start was pressed, display went out and everything dead again. (All took a bit longer than it sounds because of cramped space, short hose, dodgy lino etc.)
Did not remember this discussion, so did not look at fascia plug. Just told her to call Hotpoint (still doing £99 deal?) as I didn’t want all the faffing around with the fancy electronics and then have repair cost soaring anyway.
Now wondering if I did the right thing.
