WML540 Heater

    Had a machine with o/c heater but no fault codes,customer just noticed it wasn’t getting warm,is this the norm?
    Stank like 10 monkeys 😯

    Heater O/C will not give error codes, it will just stick on the wash, they must have been moving it on.

    This is mentioned in the Error Codes thread. 😉

    I had one on the van so didn’t look through codes to be honest.She didn’t mention that she moved it on just that it took over 2 hours for a 30 degree wash.

    seems a much more common failure on the hotpoints now
    wonder why?
    i did have one that consistently blew heaters turned out the front half of the drum was from a washer dryer but as this was a washer there was a difference in the soap disp hose so the machine would not fill correctly
    i wonder if the heater failure is a result of lower water levels?

    These machines certainly don’t use much water in a wash,as the drum is turning and creating air pockets in the water there could be a fair amount of the element ecposed at times perhaps,excellent,food for thought DDSDDS !

    They seem to go when the customer does a 90 degree wash. Certainly thats a pattern Im seing.

    (Also on the WF & WT series.)
