I have one of the above ovens that needs a main oven stat.
I had a part no from connect of 082359300 but it says its nla.
They say we need a kit with 2 stats, 2 switches and knobs etc.
Does anyone know if there is an alternative to the original stat, without swapping the whole kit.

There is no esay fix for this, you have to get the conversion kit, as the thermostat is obselete. and the instructions do come with it to convert, the only thing is if its the main oven, or 2nd oven fault. You can convert the one you need and can keep the other half for a later date, or you could be lucky, and use the other half on another appliance, to gain little bit extra, on the delivery charge of the kit, but do hold onto it, it will be used.

To change it does the top come off or do you get access from the side panels?

Re top the top comes off, is it straight forward? I have a main oven stat to replace and I have just been reading the nightmares of the kit, How does the top come off and does it interfeer with the gas side (main concern).

from memory,two press studs on the side of the hob top ,screws across the back and the deck lifts ,stat and switch right in front of you ,beware the new switch turns in the opposite direction to the original .

Cheers Lawrence, good to have been pre warned, might let the customer know before hand about the opposite direction thinggy though.
