This Smeg (I think) dishwasher fills with water then instantly drains and displays “tempreture sensor fault”. I checked the only one I could find in the door and it was showing around 8kholms at room temp. Not knowing what it should be I ordered a new one but when it turned up it is giving around the same reading.
Any ideas what I should be looking at now before I go back? Checked heater etc when I was there.

    Thanks

    Oops!
Temp sensor fault is 3rd flashing 5th lit. I read this as 3 flashing 5th lit.
That’s the error indication it is showing….First 3 lights flashing and 5th lit.
Can’t find this error, although customer said he looked up and found it to be “Flow metre detected when not fitted reset” In my book this is indicated by just the first 3 lights flashing.
    Thanks

you need to do the reset procedure:
(am doing this from memory, have posted this many times if you want to search)

with door open, switch on the power switch and within 5 seconds (ie before any of the leds light up), push the program button 4 times. You should now have a light on (or flashing) at either end, if not then switch off and try again until you do.

Once you have the 2 lights on, then press the programme button once more and one of the lights should go out, you should now have only the one light on.
switch off the machine to save setting.
Should then be back to normal, if not try it once more.
