Thanks raw ,
I spoke with them on the phone , could not find any info about them on the web apart from there own site .. That’s why i thought I’d ask on here if anyone had been there or knows anything about them. They did email me asking for address to send registration documents though.

That seems very odd? That they wouldn’t enlighten you as to the course details without you paying up front to enroll? 😯
Considering their 1 week courses cost from £595 up to £895, I personally would like them just to be a little more forthcoming as to what I will get/achieve for my money before making any commitment. 🙁

You need to see a sample itinerary,a day by day breakdown of what happens, theory, practical proportions of the course they must have one,ask for it first.
If it isn’t forthcoming then look elsewhere.

There are no users registered on UK Whitegoods using that domain name in their email address.
Before this thread, I’d never heard of them.
Pay money then they tell you what the course covers… eh, yeah, right then.

Hi All,
I thought I had better enlighten you guys regarding Appliance Academy before anyone listens to gossip and works themselves up into a “Put them down frenzy”. Visit our website and all will be revealed. Those who wish to gossip about something they know nothing about and without actualy getting the correct info regarding us, just pick up the phone and ask Its that simple. Its quite sad that some of our colleques in this profession have become so rude. perhaps they need a little training themselves.. 😕 ( Grumpy old engineers).
Best regards
John S

I’m sure that that is not the case John. I for one am delighted you have stepped in at this point to allay any apprehensions anyone may have had. Clearly the information of the course is fully explained prior to registration and, as that was my only concern, I wish all future students to your academy every success for a future in the appliance repair business.

Nobody was trying to be rude, just commenting on the information to hand.
Do the courses have recognition?
Does the gas cooker course also gain Gas Safe certification?
Refrigeration, does it cover all gasses and give relevant safety and handling certification?
I think that’s the sort of thing that people were wanting to know.
Never having seen something and being asked, as stated, for money upfront before you find out just seemed a bit odd TBH but if that’s untrue then it’s best put right.
K.
