KeymasterThis afternoon, because Sudeep didn’t have enough to do, I bugged him silly to get Breezing Forms online for ISE and the WTA, UKW to follow.
Why is this even remotely of interest?
Well, that’s what I used to built (in an hour or less) the warranty submission form for ISE. It really is very easy to use.
The reason I asked that it was installed to the WTA was that you can now create an online application form, contact form, whatever forms you want to get feedback, whatever. And, happily, this can be sent to any email/s you like.
This means that you can have one data collection point. One method for application. No messing. No fuss.
It cost me for the module but I was using it elsewhere anyway so, I’d have stumped for it anyway, the WTA may as well have the use of it as it’s the full fat version with all the bells.
Ade, I know you’ve used this although perhaps not this version. Do you want to make up what dataset you want and get it up or, tell me what you want collected and I’ll build it tomorrow and it’s another thing done ahead of the weekend meeting?

I’ve just logged in to the WTA CP and you’re using 1.7.5, we’re using 1.7.3… I’ve had a quick look, it all seems the same.
One issue about online application forms though is… We’ll get applications without paperwork (i.e PLI etc) so any engineer will still have to send them in. I know we could always add an ‘Upload’ feature, but not all will scan and upload or email so posting a copy is probably the best way as a rule?
Unless, we have a form under ‘Register your interest in joining the WTA’ that is basically a form to collect the engineers details. That can then get emailed to Tracey when the guy hits ‘Send’, who could then post an Application and covering letter with an Invoice to the form filler?
Fine to use for ‘Contact Us’, we can have a form that links or is sent to whoever deals with what category (i,e Membership etc).

Or do both.
The fact that it can be done is probably more of benefit than people doing actually doing it IMO.
Or, for the benefit of those that can’t/won’t scan stuff is there an option to “print form” so it can be posted with a checkbox to tell us that it’s being posted in?
What I was trying to get at was somewhere that we can direct people to for a current application so we don’t end up with multiple forms or hunting down who’s got it.

I’ve given this some thought today. Pros & Cons about online submission.
I think the above is better. I’d take ownership of the form interests, but I haven’t access to send Invoices from the WTA, that’s why I said Tracey 🙂
If we have an official ‘Online Application Form’, people will just fill it out and not read that they have to send PLI etc (As you know Ken, people & net are weird)!
That’ll leave us with lots of online applications, with no PLI details etc to vet them. In turn, will cause ‘Chase ups’ etc that’ll be more work than my idea above…?
Depending on other peoples opinions, I can do a form and put it live in no time, but it’s up to you lot to speak! Lol

Have a look at this I did today…

You can only see when you’re signed in but you’ll get how I dealt with the problem.
All you need for the invoice thing is to copy accounts@ in on the form, it’ll get sussed.

I like it, on the first page, you should say at the bottom something like:
If you cannot upload your PLI etc, please print the from and send it to……
If you get me?

That’s cool…
You’ve done the form then, it suits and is good.
Put it live on WTA Site when you have 5 is my vote!

Optional needs to be mandatory. With an option for ‘Uploaded’ IMO

Na, ’cause you capture the details anyway and can make contact to see what the problem was. 😉
That way you sorta get the best of both worlds and feedback at the same time.

Where’s it at?
Can’t see it and can’t see it in admin either, you’ve probably got it locked for editing.

It was me what did it, you need to be logged in to see them to keep prying eyes away…

http://whitegoodstradeassociation.org/i … pplication
They both probably need stuff sorted, I just chucked them together to give us something to work with and talk around.
Had a quick chat with Lawrence about it earlier about this and we think it can fly, as well as save a lot of hassle for everyone. But, it needs discussed further with the rest of you guys, which makes it all the more of a bummer that Ade isn’t there tomorrow.
Ade, is your BT internet thing still working and, if it is can I use it tomorrow night for FaceTime if we need to do that instead for anything?

Oh, and I want to go live with this by close of play Monday so please yay or nay by 3pm Monday or I’m liable to just say “b0ll0cks” and make it live anyway.
I’ll also do some blurb.
Steven can you email the photos from the last meet please or point me to where I can grab them from for propaganda purposes?

Forms are good…
There should be a ‘If yes, what agencies do you work for’ on the online app form with a tick box for different WPs after the question ‘Do you work for any agencies’ IMO.
Apart from that, pretty much c0ck on 🙂
