ParticipantHd all, called to look at a beko s512w cooker, the lady said the oven is not cooking fast enough ,over two and a half hours cooking a chicken and it wasn’t cooked properly and other food likewise.Elements are ok and the thermostat is cutting in and out ok.There are two elements in the oven compartment, one for the grill and one for the oven which come on seperatly.Should both elements be working when the oven is on or is it correct that the outer element is only supposed to be on when the oven is on.Can anyone advise on this please.
Thanks.Crockett.

Hi all again, checked out base element thanks to r600a, this element is also working fine,I’ve come to the conclusion that this cooker oven just possibly dosn’t work as fast or efficiently as this lady is used to, she is not long in the house and the previous tennant has told her that the only thing bad about the house is that the cooker oven is verry slow. Perhaps this is the case with all Beko s512w cookers, if anyone out there has had the same experience or can throw any light on the subject it will much appreciated. Thanks again to everyone especially r600a.

Top element listed as 800W, lower 1100W, grill 1500W, take it from that that outer grill is only used during oven function. I’ve come aacross this problem before & all you can do is advise customer to preheat oven until oven light goes out before putting in food & calculating cooking time, they’ve probably been used to a fan oven before.
