    My indesit WIA 101 washing machine is only a couple of years old.
    I have just smelt burning so I switched it off.
    The cable felt warm so I disconnected it from the socket and opened the lid.

    I unplugged the connection at the top inside of the machine where the cable runs into a plug. I could see burning around one of the connecting pins and surrounding plastic.

    Doesn’t sound good but just wondered if it’s likely that the machine is a write-off or is easily fixable.

    any advice appreciated

    It just needs a new mains cable and suppressor assembly, part number C00111940. Around £23 + vat.

    Mind you two years is quite good for an Indesit. :rolls:

    Hi, Just trying to find the part online but not easy.
    Do you know best place to purchase?
    The part seemed to be a sealed unit which comes with the cable attached.
    To make sure, I’ve attached pictures of it.

    You may need to repair the wiring connections that plug into the top of the suppressor.

    The original ones are fearfully weak. :rolls:
