I was called to this old beast this morning and on inspection found the armature had gone west & blown a track on the rear power module. :rolls:
I then proceded to replace the armature, motor toc and bridged the blown track. 8)
However, I still have no display on the m/c dispite incoming mains & the m/c will do nothing.I couldn’t see any damaged looking components on the power module or control module into which it plugs. Am I looking at a new module or have i missed something ?

    Allan.

It does occasionally wreck the power board and sometimes the control pcb at the same time.

You can soon finish up well out of pocket on these if the board has gone.

I don’t think EMW repair or test these boards but QER do with reservations. 😉

Pull all of the connector plugs off both boards and carefully inspect the plug contacts inside the plugs, I have seen them burn off even though the plug looks fine.

Thanks Iadom, I don’t suppose you have a power board you can sell at a reasonable price ?

Sorry, never used many of them, pretty reliable machine TBH. Haven’t changed a power board on one for a couple of years now.

Too expensive to keep as stock, but checking QER’s catalogue does show them as repairing this pcb.
