ParticipantHi there,
Our WVT1260GB has stopped drying. I’ve had the lid off, the heater measures 35 Ohms, the 3 sensors on the heater box lid all show s/c with one lead off. But I’m not seeing 230VAC at the heater connections. I’m now stuck… 😕 Where should I be looking next please ?
Thanks
Martin

Water inlet valve!

Thanks Martin. Just checked the water inlet valve and there’s water flowing through the outlet pipe and through the little plastic container fixed to the rear panel and on to the condensing part.
I am measuring 230V at all the sensor terminals and at both heater element terminals against chassis, but nothing between the heater terminals. Now I’m really confused… How does the heater pick up its neutral return ?

I believe it is switched on the neutral side at the main circuit board. 🙁

…and there was I hoping it was something a bit more straightforward !! Is it a relay switch – or via a triac or similar – do you know ? And are spare cct boards available ?

….found the relays and removed/checked/cleaned them all. Two of them are not getting 12V to the coils – the voltage drive to the transistor array to activate those relays is also missing at the edge connector to the rear of the board. That looks like a main control board issue – unless the voltage is inhibited by air-flow or water level sensors or anything which need the case removing to access ? Help !!

Took the control board out to see if there was anything obvious, which there wasn’t… Put it all back together again – and the dryer now works :rolls: Just hoping it was a loose connector and not an intermittent fault on the board 😕 Thanks for the pointers.
