    Hi guys. Checked the forum on this and apparently some of these have got a modification to stop the belt breaking again. This one is only 15 months old so may have an issue. Can anyone e-mail some info on this? Bob hope helped the last time. Not fitted one of these yet. 🙁

    Hi

    Generally its the front felt bearing which causes this.

    They split & jam the drum, which then makes the belt skid & snap.

    Change front felt & belt every time.

    Be very careful the belt is a b*st!rd to fit!!!

    Thanks Preggy. Better allow a bit of time. I presume it’s a tight stretch belt with no jockeys?

    Beko recommend you change the bearing housing assembly also, new front felts on bearing housings are stitched together & dont fall apart. Clean off the front of the drum of any sticky plastic residue as its this that normally causes the re-occurrance of belts breaking, if its not cleaned it will stick to new felt & take it off .
