hi guys never come across one of these , big round twin element dryer , power going to one side of element , heats ok , tested element for continuity and all the tags have readings between each other , how can this be , i removed the wire connectors before testing , also there is a square white block on the back of the element housing with wires in and out to the element , a thermostat ? no power going to this either , also there is power coming from the timer but it never makes it to the end of the wire connected to this one is going to the element also , anyone have info on these thx

Thats the overheat stat I think and the only other stat I see from the drawing is the exhaust stat. Could the fault be something to do with the low/high heat switch on the control panel?

No technical info available on these as far as I can make out. 🙁

poss Martin , i didnt take it out or check it for operation but there was power going to it i dont remember how many wires were going to it , i guess it just sends the power in both directions to heat both parts of the element when on high , could be that i spose , cheers i will check

checked switch its working fine i dont understand how the element has continuity between both parts of it , there are 2 seperate rings 4 tags like a grill element !

looking at the circuit diagram that heater element is wired in parralel, the high/low heat is selected from the front panel switch it just shorts out the low temp cut out and uses the high heat one, if you want the diagram pm me your email.
