    Hi guys,

    Bosch SRS43C22GB/04 FD 8612

The above slimline dishwasher has the following problem –

Turn it on, It drains for about 12 – 15 secs then there is a few clicking sounds (i cant work out where they are coming from) then the check water and end lights come on.

The Ins res is fine, Element fine, there appears to be continuity at the inlet valve & the the metering tank solonoid –
    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

That “metering tank solenoid” is in fact an impellor jug (Part No 607138) which may well be your problem? 😉

Changed the impeller jug but still the same,
Drains for a bit as expected then theres a few clicks from around the lower metering tank area (cant make out exactly where from) then the check water light comes on.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

I’m assuming that the pressure chamber and transfer pipe to the sump are clean and clear are they?

There isnt an aquastop on it, just a valve and water is going to that fine

You could try opening the door after 5 secs of draining (before elctronics has time to find a problem) filling it with a kettle and then seeing if anything else works. If it turns out to be a filling problem it’ll be worth scrutinising the board.

    Just a thought
Mine has an aquastop, could this be the problem? how do i check it?
I’ve never done anything with an aquastop before.
Just want to know before i order a board….

You could try fitting a normal fill hose in its place temporarily.

Re: Bosch SRS43C22GB/04 – Check Water light

Yes, it’s fine to do that as long as you are aware that by removing this flood prevention device you are reducing the protection against a flooded kitchen. Which is fine if you are doing it as a temporary check to see if the aquastop is the problem. If the machine then works (though it may very well not) you can even leave it as a “permanent” repair if they are happy to sign a detailed twenty page legal document drawn up by your solicitor indemnifying you against any responsibility should the kitchen subsequently flood at any future date. 😀

Brought this m/c home to play with today as they’re going away for a few days and i could look at everything before i order a board.
hooked it up in the workshop and its fine.
The only thing i can think of is that its siphoning as its installed at a height and the drain hose is fitted to the sink, almost below the m/c level, through an extension hose, which i had to disconnect from the m/c end as it means removing half the kitchen to get it out and back in if i remove the other end.
Anyway, my question is, can a m/c just start siphoning for no apparent reason after 5 years of working normally?
