ISE 5-2 bearing change?

    Got to do my first bearing change on this Vestel machine, anything I need to watch out for?

    Of it like a hotpoint Jim and you won’t go far wrong , usual fare front of tub knock begs out , use insert tool to pull the new ones in

    Im sure it has a torx bolt on the pulley. So a good hit with the lump hammer and chisel to get it started.

    Not that bad a job, good practice as I have another to do on Friday plus a CI555WH bearing change as well.

    I intended to remove the motor from the drum rear to make it easier to handle but it was so tight it felt as though either the motor castings or the mounting lugs would give way or be seriously stressed so I managed with the motor attached.

    They are huge stonking bearings on these, a pity the seal isn’t as good although the replacement main bearing is now a sealed one.

    It looks as though a motor change is a tub out job on these as well. 🙁
